Reménysugár az iraki keresztényeknek (képek)
2017. 07. 26.
Reményt keltő képeket közölt az AFP hírügynökség: iraki keresztények misén vesznek részt Karakosban a Szeplőtelen Fogantatás templomában július 24-én. A város mintegy 30 kilométerre fekszik az Iszlám Államtól két hete felszabadított Moszultól.
Philippe Barbarin bíboros „szomorúság és remény közepette Karakos újjáéledéséért” tartott misét. A jövő azonban bizonytalan: a terrorszervezet öldöklése előtt 50 ezer keresztény élt a városban. Karakos volt az iraki keresztények kulturális, szellemi és lelki központja, ma azonban a település szellemváros, és sokan nem mernek visszatérni a sokk után, hogy egyes muszlim szomszédiak az életükre törtek.
